Taiwan Dram Test house anticipates sales rebound in March

Tuesday, March 09, 2010

Powertech Technology (PTI) has reported a sequential decline of 3.5% in consolidated revenues to NT$2.8 billion (NT$87.5 million) for February 2010, but the memory packaging and testing firm expects revenues to rebound in March.

Despite the on-month drop, PTI's February results showed a 50.3% growth compared to NT$1.86 billion a year earlier. Consolidated revenues for the first two months of 2010 amounted to NT$5.7 billion, up 45.7% from 2009.

PTI estimated March consolidated revenues at about the level reached in January. The company also added its order visibility now extends through June.

PTI said revenues for the ongoing quarter will likely drop by single digits sequentially, and is expecting to see a strong first quarter. Price drops in the quarter would be limited, the company added.
