DocMemory Diagnostic Feature
DocMemory PC Memory Diagnostic Software Review
CST Inc - SIMMTESTER.COM has once again developed an innovative and user friendly PC Memory Diagnostic Software tool for the all PC enthusiasts.
DocMemory diagnostic software can be installed on a single self-booting floppy disk, making it independent of any operating system.
During Boot up, DocMemory is able to determine memory capacity with its Auto-Identification feature, displaying easy to read memory related information. It has two operation selection modes : ' Quick ' and "Burnt-In "
Upon Boot Up, the software defaults to "Burnt-In-Mode" and when the test button is selected, both the "Base Memory "(0k-999k) and the "Extended Memory"(1MB and above) are rigorously tested to detect any possible memory failures. There are over ten detailed memory test patterns imported from CST Eureka Memory Tester , which are incorporated into this software. Patterns include: walk address '0' & '1', walk data '0' & '1', Mat-S, March B, March-C, Checkerboard, Burst, and Moving Inversion. These are some of the extremely exhaustive test patterns used when executed in the "Burnt -In -Mode".Standard tests can be selected by a simply click of the mouse.
The mouse interface feature is one of the attractive features provided and the user can reselect any test pattern, change test configurations and select one loop cycle, and finish testing the memory in a couple of minutes.
During our Lab evaluation process, numerous numbers of SDRAM , EDO & Fast Page Mode , DDR and Rambus modules were tested on different motherboards and results again has proved that using Burnt-In Mode on DocMemory Software, bad modules were detected over and over again. These bad memory has been confirmed tested Faulty on both Eureka and SP3000 Hardware Tester .
Well you may ask, if this software is so powerful , so why do I need a Hardware Memory Tester ? The limitations of the PC Diagnostic Memory software are :
- inability to directly pinpoint exact location of dram chip failure
- inabiilty to detect the exact memory cell that of the faulty chip
- the first module in PC must be good inorder for PC to boot for diagnostic software execution
- time taken for test completion is much longer
If any of these factors are critical to your operations, then a hardware tester such as the Eureka , SP3000 or Apollo Memory tester would be the options to consider.DocMemory is a must for any PC user, service technicians; even memory wholesalers and resellers will benefit from using this software.
For a Limited Time only, enjoy this great tool , a $100 value. DocMemory is now available for FREE, cllick here to download a FREE copy now !
